Provide your quote for another survey type in welcome emails

It is possible to provide your quote for an alternative/similar service when a customer searches for a quote. For example, if a customer searches for a Homebuyer Report quote, you can provide the quote for a Building Survey at the same time. This can be useful to upsell or provide a more appropriate option.

There are 3 short codes you can add:

[Pair Survey Type] – this will insert the name of the paired survey type into the email

[Pair Survey Quote] – this will insert your quote for the paired survey type into the email

[Pair Survey Text] – this will add the text “Alternatively we can provide a ‘paired survey type’ for £XXX“. However, with this shortcode, if the quote would be bespoke, the text will be removed from the email to prevent confusion. If the quote would be bespoke with the two shortcodes above the text would still remain.

Pairing Surveys:

Go to Settings > Survey settings > Select Service.

Click on the pencil icon and on the pop-up you can pair another survey type with the job you are editing.

As an example, if you select Building Survey from the dropdown of the Homebuyer Report, you will be able to show the price of a Building Survey in your Homebuyer Report welcome email.

Setting up your email shortcodes

Go to Settings > Survey settings > Email and SMS settings > Automated template.

Open the relevant welcome email template and add the shortcode(s) of your choice. We recommend using the [Pair Survey Text] version so that it is hidden if your paired quote does not have a price available in your pricing table.
