Public report download link with tracking

This feature enables you to share a report download link publicly so customers can enter their details to receive a download link. This is useful for reports that can be publicly available, whilst also collecting user data. It is great for reports like the Scottish Home Report, EPCs etc.

Enable the shareable report link

Go to Settings > Survey settings > Select service.

Click the edit icon next to the service you’d like to activate this feature for.

Select the “Shareable report link”.

Press “Save” at the top of the page.

Sharing the shareable report link

The link becomes visible once the job is “Complete”.

It displays in the “What’s next” section of the job.

There are two ways to share it:

• In a referrer email template (e.g. job complete email) or other email template (e.g. via workflows), you can include the shareable report link using this shortcode: [Public Report Download Details]
• Copy the link from the What’s next section and manually email it out.

How the page works

The page displays the report type and address and a section for a user to fill in their name and email.

Once submitted, the customer is emailed your “Public report download request” email template provided it is active.

This template should include the Report download tag and state that the link is valid for 7 days. The user can download the report again if needed via the shareable report page above.

Where do the submissions show?

The submissions on the form show:

• On the surveyor job timeline under the conflict of interest section
• On the referrer job timeline
