Setting up your RICS Find a Surveyor Data Feed

From your Settings > Integrations page you will find a section for RICS Find a Surveyor.

In Survey Booker:

Step 1: In the API key field please add your RICS registered firm number and press “Save“. You must save this first to continue.

Step 2: In the profile link field please add your RICS Find a Surveyor profile link and press “Save“. If you have more than one profile page you can add multiple links by pressing the ‘Add profile link’ button.

Add each profile link and press ‘save’ after each link is added. The system will only save one link at a time. You will need to add each of the profile pages you have to your settings for leads to feed through.

Step 3: Add your lead pairings. E.g. what should a level 1, 2, 3 and I’m not sure lead sent through save as in your account. If this is not added, leads will fail to save.

What happens next?

Step 4: At 6am each day, RICS Find a Surveyor will check for any new office profile URLs added to your account. They will then set up the feed for the new URLs and the URL will become active.

Home survey enquiries: Any quote enquiries will be saved as a new quote in your account showing with the lead source as ‘RICS’.

General enquiries: Any general enquiries made will create a new contact in Survey Booker and the contact will appear in your notifications tab under ‘Leads’. You can then view these, add a quote and mark the lead as viewed in your notifications lead tab. Note: the delete option will delete the contact from the system.

My leads aren’t saving

There are 3 causes of leads not saving:

  • Your API key (registered firm number) is incorrectly saved (check there are no extra spaces added at the start or end)
  • Your office URLs are not correct
  • You have not paired incoming leads to job types in Survey Booker
  • You have not waited for the next 6 am refresh for RICS to retrieve your new profiles
