Location is not covered for this job type

 

When does this alert appear? 

This alert appears when a location is not active in your location settings for the job type being viewed.

The job must also be at the Quote stage. Once progressed, this alert will not show.

 

What is this alert for? 

This alert is designed to ensure that:

  1. You do not book a job in a location that you do not cover, accidentally. E.g. you can receive leads from comparison sites for locations you do not cover where they only allow leads by postcode area instead of district.
  2. You update your location settings if the location should be active so customers can search for quotes on your quote form in this location. It’s easy to increase your coverage over time but forget to update your settings.

What do customers see on their side? 

This depends on your settings, but there are 2 possible alerts. These are managed in your Customer Portal settings.

  • Quote form alert – if you do not cover a location in your location settings, customers cannot search for a quote. The message they receive can be managed in the portal settings on the Styling tab.
  • Booking alert – you can activate an alert that appears if your customer tries to book, if you no longer cover a location. If turned off, customers can book in any location where they have a quote. You can set a custom message to appear on the Other settings tab.
